MiCTA Selects Lightower as an Approved Vendor for Telecommunications, IP and Colocation Services

Saginaw, MI (July 23, 2014) – MiCTA, a national, non-profit group purchasing organization located in Saginaw, MI, has named Lightower Fiber Networks as an approved vendor for high bandwidth private line telecommunications, IP and colocation services. The Master Service Agreement will enable MiCTA members to purchase Lightower's private line telecommunications, IP and specialty services at a discount.

"MiCTA is pleased to welcome Lightower as an approved vendor for high-bandwidth private line telecommunications, IP and specialty services," says Tim von Hoff, Chief Operating Officer of MiCTA. "MiCTA members have expressed strong interest in high-capacity, fiber-based network infrastructure options and flexible collocation services. Lightower is well positioned to deliver these services to MiCTA members in their service areas."

“For over 20 years, Lightower has designed and built all-fiber, high-performance networks for the most demanding applications,” states Doug Dalissandro, Chief Revenue Officer for Lightower. “Since we own and operate our own fiber network, we can customize unique solutions for our customers that others just can’t offer. Customers in education, government, healthcare and enterprise organizations all trust Lightower to deliver for their most demanding networking needs.  Now, we look forward to bringing these capabilities to MiCTA members.”

Lightower's proposal was selected as part of MiCTA's highly competitive RFP process, which evaluates products and services on behalf of its nationwide membership. MiCTA's master service agreements deliver substantial cost savings to its members and eliminate the need for MiCTA members to conduct their own expensive and time-consuming individual RFPs.
